reach 到达，抵达，是个及物动词，后面可以直接跟名词或者副词。与reach相比，arrive更多地表达地理位置上的“到达”概念。不过，arrive在用法上也有不同，因为它是个“不及物动词”，如果要表达“抵达某个地方”的意思时，需要在它后面必须接上at、in之类的介词使用，才能接上地点。
reach和arrive的区别
词性不同：reach既可以用作名词也可以用作动词；而arrive只能用作动词。
含义不同：reach除了表示到达，还有够得着的含义；而arrive只表示到达。
用法不同：reach是及物动词，后面可以直接接地点名词或者副词作宾语；而arrive是不及物动词，后面不可直接接宾语，但可以接here、there、home之类的表地点的副词作状语。若arrive后需要接地点名词，则必须加上介词at或in，表示到达较小的地方或较大的地方。
语境不同：reach含有经历了艰难险阻才到达的含义；而arrive则没有这层含义。
