两者意思不同，用法也不同，主语也不相同。add up to ：“总共是，总计为”，后多跟合计起来的数目，主语通常是figure，number，bill等;add up to：合计;把……加起来，语多为人，其后要跟“合计”的各部分。
add up to和add up的区别
1、意思不同：add up的意思是加，相加，合乎情理，说得通，积少成多，聚沙成塔。add up to意思是总计为，合计。
